HE 14TH ANNUAL Water Canada Awards, held on
June 8, 2023, was an event to remember, bringing together in one place some of the most dedicated, talented, and
passionate water sector professionals in Canada. With
plenty of laughter, applause, mingling, and congratulatory
hugs and high-fives, we celebrated the best and brightest in the
industry.
Putting a focus on the significant contributions to Canadian
water, the Water Canada Awards recognized brilliance in 11
standard categories and added a splash with an exciting bonus
category this year. The awards saw an unprecedented amount of
truly outstanding nominations, which posed an incredibly difficult task for our panel of judges: sorting the best from the best.
Narrowing the selections down to three finalists in each category
proved to be a feat in itself! A testament to the breadth and depth
of talent across the country, entries poured in from coast to coast,
each promising a future where water isn’t just a resource, but a
cherished treasure.
Guided by the discerning eyes of Water Canada’s Editorial
Advisory Board, Stephen Braun, Melissa Dick, Gregary Ford, Jon
Grant, Robert Haller, Linda Li, Micheal Lywood, Eric Meliton,
Ranin Nseir, Terry Rees, Emily Stahl, and Jen Smith, the best
and brightest in the industry were recognized, honoured, and
celebrated amidst a room full of colleagues, and both old and
new friends.
Join us as we celebrate the individuals, projects, and technologies that have made waves in water!

restoration. Recommendations have outlined
key restoration areas, data collection points,
and each partner’s role. A funding innovation
for watershed restoration is in progress. This
approach offers a cost-effective, climate
change solution for municipal planning and
promotes watershed conservation through
