THE PORT LANDS Flood Protection and Enabling Infrastructure
project is the redevelopment of one of the largest portions of underdeveloped land in a major urban core in North America. Located along
the shore of Lake Ontario southeast of Toronto’s downtown core, the
project will include substantial soil remediation, a new mouth for the
Don River, and critical infrastructure for flood resilience to unlock the
325-hectare site for residential and commercial development. •

THE MD of Acadia & Special Areas Irrigation
Project is an irrigation expansion project
in east-central Alberta that will transition
108,000 acres from dryland farming to
irrigated farming and support the future
growth of Canada’s agriculture sector.
The project is being developed in
partnership with all levels of government
including the Government of Canada
through the Canada Infrastructure Bank,
the Government of Alberta, Municipal District of Acadia No. 34, and the Special Areas
Board. The project partners are investing
$7 million to continue Phase II of the planning, including completion of preliminary
engineering design, environmental and
regulatory considerations, and potential
昀椀nancing options. •
