Part 2 of Canada’s
biggest water projects

INCE 2006, Water Canada’s sister publication, ReNew
Canada, has produced the annual Top100 Projects Report,
ranking Canada’s largest infrastructure projects based on
total dollar investment. This year’s report features $273
billion in assets in the transit, transportation, energy,
healthcare, and water industries, along with other public sector
projects making the list, and 10 of the 13 provinces and territories
represented.
The water sector continues to have a strong presence on the list,
with 10 of Canada’s Top100 Projects coming specifically from the
water sector, including wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, and
flood mitigation assets in four Canadian provinces (B.C., Alberta,
Manitoba, and Ontario), accounting for $20.39B of the report’s
total assets.
In our last issue we shared a glimpse of a few of ReNew
Canada’s Top100 water projects, including Iona Island Wastewater
Treatment Plant, Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant
Expansion, Don River and Central Waterfront & Connected
Projects, and Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant D
Expansion.
And in this issue, we’ll visit a few more. Stay tuned in the
coming issues as we reveal more huge (no pun intended)
Canadian water projects!
