TO MEET WASTEWATER servicing needs through 2031, Halton is
moving forward with an expansion of the MidHalton Wastewater
Treatment Plant, increasing capacity from 125 million litres per day
to 195 million litres per day. This $304million investment will support
planned growth in Georgetown, Milton, and Oakville, ensuring the
system can reliably serve existing and new homes and businesses.
The Municipal Class Environmental Assessment is currently
underway, advancing design planning and confirming the best
approach to strengthen this critical regional infrastructure. •

TO SUPPORT HALTON’S growing community through 2031 and
beyond, plans are underway to triple capacity at the Burloak Water
Treatment Plant, from 55 million litres per day to 165 million litres per
day. This major upgrade will ensure residents and businesses continue
to have reliable access to clean, highquality drinking water well into
the future. Design work has recently commenced and is currently in
the investigative and technical review phase. •
