WORK AT THE PLANT will include modernization of the
primary clarifier mechanics, repairs to the main building roof,
upgraded automation systems and new safety measures
for workers. The improvements are aimed at extending the
lifespan of the facility and ensuring reliable wastewater
treatment for residents. •

Brandon Water Treatment Facility
– Membrane Building • $128,000,000
THE SECOND PHASE of a multi-year upgrade and expansion
of the City of Brandon’s municipal water treatment facility
began with the start of construction in October, 2025 of a
dedicated membrane building connected to the existing
water treatment facility at 108 - 26th St. N. This follows
the successful completion of phase one of the upgrade:
the Chemical Building construction in 2022. Construction
over the next four years and will include: a new membrane
building complete with a dual-membrane process, using both
ultra- and nano-filtration, to treat water; a new electrical
substation; additional treated water storage; underground
piping; and connections to existing equipment both inside and
outside the facility. •

Curve Lake First Nation Water Treatment &
Distribution System Upgrade • $120,000,000
THE $120 MILLION water supply and
distribution system project in Curve Lake
addresses quantity and quality concerns
regarding the community’s raw water supply.
The project made steady progress in 2025
towers a new, safe reliable water system
for the community. Construction included
work on the water treatment plant, the water
tower and the water distribution system,
including masonry work and roof framing at
the treatment plat and installation of piping,
hydrants, valves and service connections
along community roads. •
