Airdrie Wastewater Pipeline Expansion

THE PROJECT WILL see construction
of a new seven-kilometre wastewater
pipeline that connects to the City
of Calgary’s existing wastewater
treatment system. This regional
approach is a cost-effective and
environmentally responsible solution,
eliminating the need for a new
treatment facility while supporting
the development of thousands of new
homes and businesses. •

Kimberley Wastewater Treatment Plant
$90,600,000
KIMBERLEY’S NEW wastewater
treatment facility will be built near
the existing Pollution Control Centre.
The project is being delivered through
an Integrated Product Delivery
(IPD) agreement. The facility will
include: an administration building;
a headworks building; an Aerobic
granular sludge (AGS) process
block; UV Disinfection; and solids
management. •

NEW • DRINKING WATER
THE NAPANEE WPCP project includes
a new build and rehabilitation of parts
of the existing anaerobic digesters. This
wastewater treatment facility will have
a new headworks, activated granular
sludge (AGS) tanks, tertiary treatment
with Ultra-Violet (UV) disinfection, and
an operations building. This wastewater
treatment facility will be located beside
the existing WPCP on Water Street West.
Construction commenced in summer
2025, and the upgraded facility will be
operational in 2028. •
