Bradford Water Pollution Control Plant Upgrades
$65,000,000
THE OBJECTIVE of the Bradford Water
Pollution Control Plant upgrades project is to
address the plant’s operational requirements.
This will ensure that there is adequate
wastewater treatment capacity to service
growth to 2031.
The project consists of three phases. Phase
1 is to ensure the plant is in a good state of
repair, evaluate process optimization and
validate upgrades. Phase 2 will include design
and construction for plant tertiary treatment
systems, and Phase 3 will include design and
construction for projects recommended by the
plant process optimization and state of good
repair analyses. •

Queensway East Cawthra Trunk Sewer
$60,000,000
PEEL REGION is embarking on this
significant project that consists
of approximately 6.4 kilometres
of tunneled trunk level sewers
and up to 4.1 kilometres of water
feedermains. This infrastructure
is part of major system upgrades
that will provide additional capacity
to service growth within the
Mississauga City Centre Area to
2041 and beyond. •

DRINKING WATER
THIS PROJECT involves constructing a
new raw water intake and treatment plant
to provide a safe and reliable source of
potable water for Biigtigong Nishnaabeg.
Developed in partnership with Indigenous
Services Canada, the new facility will supply
clean drinking water to over 168 homes
and various non-residential buildings,
including the administration office, schools,
teacherages, health centre, community
centre, and daycare. This initiative will help
meet the community’s current and future
water needs. •
